When our original series of inshore rods reached the natural end of its run we realized the need for a less expensive series of inshore rods that still maintained our three core product tenets - high performance, great syle and excellent value. This was the birth of SPS. As prototypes came in, the response was nothing short of phenomenal. Anglers and dealers alike loved these rods and couldn't wait until they were available. We saw the same opportunity in travel rods. While the Dark Matter Bonefish Plus Travel Spinning Rods are popular we knew we could deliver something awesome at a lower price point. Dark Matter SPS Inshore Travel Spinning Rods was the answer. Available in two models, these rods deliver performance style and value.

It starts with a Dark Matter blank that is lightweight, sensitive and powerful. We gave these rods the same actions as on our inshore rods. They are outfitted with braid-ready titanium-oxide guides with stainless frames, an ergonomic graphite reel seat and premium cork split grips that are comfortable and lightweight. 

At Dark Matter, style is just as important as performance so just like on our SPS Inshore rods we gave the blank a coat of black paint and wrapped the guides with light blue thread with a touch of white. A modern classic. 

Dark Matter SPS Inshore Travel Spinning Rods are available in two models. Choose from Bonefish Plus which is a 7' M and Redfish Plus, which is a 7' MH. Both models are four pieces and come in the same great hard case found on our other travel rods. SPS is perfect for your next fishing adventure!
