Dark Matter John Skinner Blackfish Jigs

We created Dark Matter John Skinner Blackfish Jigs to elevate your blackfishing experience. With every detail carefully considered, we took the classic banana-shaped head and enhanced it in all the right ways. At the core of these jigs is our custom Dark Matter 3X Blackfish Jig Hook, built with a large hook eye that makes using fishing clips a breeze. This thick-gauge hook is designed to withstand the toughest rocky bottoms, drastically reducing bend-outs. We also designed it with a short gap that slides past the tog’s lips faster than a wide gap hook, giving you a better hookup ratio. I’m proud to share what we’ve built and am confident these jigs will make a real difference out on the water.

“Most experienced blackfish anglers will tell you that blackfish can be difficult to hook. These jigs make it easy. The jig is designed to sit on the bottom with the hook bend pointing up. When a blackfish picks up this jig, which features a relatively small and razor sharp hook, it's already in contact with or past those big “tog” lips. At this point it's actually difficult to pull the jig away without hooking the fish. The 3X strong Dark Matter hook sets very easily and is strong enough to pull big fish out of structure. Just drop it to the bottom baited with your favorite blackfish bait, set the hook when you feel a few taps, then hold on!”
